On July 10, 2019 the General Assembly adopted the Law on Government Agent of RA before the ECHR.
The Law is the first of its kind to regulate the field of Government Agent of RA before the ECHR. The adoption of the Law was conditioned by the implementation of new work practices by the ECHR, and consequently, by the increase of the workload of the Agent.
The Law regulates the Agent’s status, appointment and replacement procedure, the Agent’s scope of authority, as well as the Agent’s Office’s goals and objectives more clearly and comprehensively.
