Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the Secretary General and the delegation.
Welcoming the visit of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the Prime Minister noted that as a member state of the Council of Europe, Armenia is committed to following its path towards democracy, strengthening co-operation in the field of human rights protection, development of democracy and establishment of an independent judiciary.
The Secretary General noted that the Council of Europe highly values co-operation with Armenia, and the purpose of her visit is to further strengthen it. She welcomed the democratic reforms of the Republic of Armenia, in the direction of which Armenia is registering visible progress.
