The Hay Dat office in Europe welcomes the judgment delievered today by the European Court of Human Rights in the case of “Perincek v. Switzerland” in which the Republic of Armenia has intervened as a third party.
Bedo Demirchyan, the Communications Officer of the Hay Dat office in Europe has mentioned that the most welcoming part of the Court’s judgment is the one by which the Grand Chamber has amended the Chamber’s judgment and stated that the Armenian Genocide is not a matter of discussion at the European Court.
According to B. Demirchyan, the most important statement of the Court was that we- the the Armenians- have the right to respect for our dignity and identity. B. Demirchyan has mentioned that in this respect they are satisfied with the higher European Court’s ruling.
